A fast-growing global medical device company in the Minneapolis area has an immediate opening on their team for a Supply Chain Customer Solutions Manager. This individual will manage the different aspects of the supply chain including: sourcing, purchasing, transport, scheduling, warehousing and distribution and will work closely with suppliers and customers to improve operations and reduce costs. This is a direct hire opportunity with great benefits. 

Responsibilities of the Supply Chain Customer Solutions Manager: 

  • Develops feasible master production schedules for finished goods and component items based on capacity requirements.
  • Coordinates work efforts of all departments to ensure integration and completion of work against expectations.
  • Provides daily schedules to manufacturing and installs production compliance metrics to measure performance.
  • Manages or oversees department(s) calculating requirements for raw materials, purchased parts, and packaging supplies based on ERP methodology and department(s) responsible for inventory, shipping/receiving, and warehousing functions.
  • Publish and perform root cause analyses on key metrics.
  • Identify and implement items for continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of Lean concepts and techniques.
  • Ability to standardize, document and communicate change effectively.

Required Education and Experience of the Supply Chain Customer Solutions Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in engineering, business or related field.
  • 5+ years of supply chain or production management in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • An APICS certificate is a plus.
  • Willingness to work unusual hours (a lot of supply chain activity occurs at night) 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to present information to executive groups, customers, employees and the general public.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Understanding of good manufacturing practices and quality initiatives/programs.
  • Familiarity with engineered resins in an injection molding-processing environment.
