Senior Product Manager (US Markets)

Full time, Office Based Flexible, Durham NC

The Senior Product Manager, US Markets is responsible for developing upstream plans and executing projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term US marketing strategy. This position collaborates with Sales, Research & Development, Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, and Finance to effectively manage the product life cycle.

What you’ll be doing

Ideal candidates are self-starters, with strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a global, cross-functional organization. They have passion for communications as a function and an understanding of managing it among varying audiences

· Leads all upstream marketing initiatives to include but not limited to all: sustaining engineering activities, new product development, five year planning, evidence development and market research.

· Drives customer understanding and insights that defines our prime prospects’ needs, attitudes and values in order for customers to have stronger and more impactful product/brand/product experiences.

· Leads/supports customer and product/brand learning plan development and oversees execution and findings of research studies.

· Analyzes customer, category, competition, and channel/customer as part of a situation assessment

· Conducts analysis and periodical reviews of the product/brand, competitive, category, customer and customer trends to enhance the product/brand’s equity and marketplace performance.

· Analyzes current performance, trends, market conditions, and other contributing factors to help product/brand manager in recommending base and stretch revenue goals for upcoming year

· Develops growth targets, business objectives and product/brand strategies for the product/brand that aligns with global business plan.

· Defining, analyzing, and redefining of product/brand content, PR, and communications strategies

· Steward of the product/brand that supports our new product/brand promise, product/brand vision, product/brand position, product/brand architecture and achieves overall business goals for the product/brand.

· Engages, inspires and galvanizes the organization around the product/brand vision, position and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise

· Partners with Medical Education and Professional Affairs to support KOL development, customer education programs

· Participates on a cross-functional team to support new products following the process, including analyzing information to help set the sales forecast and financials and writing concept statements for customer testing.

· Works with Reimbursement and Managed Markets to establish value propositions and data stories for specific payer groups

 

What you’ll bring to the table

· Bachelor’s degree in related field

· Ability and desire to work in an extremely entrepreneurial environment with moderate supervision.

· Strong understanding and proven ability to use advance marketing analytics

· Strong written and verbal skills - you should be a persuasive, engaging, and clinical credible presenter in working with both physicians and customer-facing colleagues.

· 8 years marketing experience in consumer pharma, medical device, pharma or payer regulated industry

· Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, e-detailing and digital analytics
