Contract manufacturing company in the southern Twin Cities metro has an immediate opening on their team for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician. This is a direct hire role that offers fantastic benefits.

Job Description of the Maintenance Technician
Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation of the following:

  • Mechanical devices and components including Gears, bearings, drives and gearboxes, timing systems
  • Electronics devices and components including Servo motors, Servo Drives, low and high voltage AC & DC motors, sensors, PLC’s, computers, and computer interfaces, I/O modules, actuators, power supplies, transformers, heating and cooling controls and systems
  • Pneumatics systems including compressors, logic circuits, actuators, sensors
  • Proficient use of hand and power tools
  • Perform fabrication of equipment and parts through welding and machining
  • Read and comprehend complex schematics, blueprints, specifications, procedure manuals and instructions
  • Coach and train machine operators in basic maintenance of machinery and equipment
  • Communicate status of maintenance projects and issues with management

Minimum Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical equipment issues
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
  • Embrace business and personal continuous improvement initiatives
  • Flexibility to adapt and meet fluctuating schedule and priority changes
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed including Saturday

Preferred Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician

  • Vocational/technical certification – automation, robotics, mechatronics
  • Experience with automation, controls, and PLCs
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a FDA regulated environment
