Mechanical Project Engineer
We are currently partnering with a manufacturing company located in Charlotte, NC who is looking to add a Project/Mechanical Engineer to their growing team. This is a direct hire position with excellent benefits. The Hiring Manager is looking to interview and hire ASAP.

•    Initiates work assignments and manage projects to completion according to priorities and schedules.
•    Responsible for product design, product development activities, and reverse engineering. 
•    Coordinates with the cost estimating function to develop cost estimates on all pre-released products and/or any significant changes to existing products and alert all affected departments of the cost impact of those changes.
•    Designs and develops process flow charts and process and operation sheets directed toward economical production of quality parts.
•    Compiles and issues as the authorized Manufacturing process, route operation sheets covering all parts, sub-assemblies, and final product assemblies, whether purchased or manufactured.  
•    Maintains the authorized route sheets on a current and up-to-date basis, incorporating Engineering changes as approved so that they are compatible and consistent with most recent Product Engineering prints and specifications.
•    Studies, analyzes, and evaluates new products, new products and/or component parts thereof, release for production by Product Engineering and to submit recommendations relative to make or buy decision.
•    Monitors, studies, and evaluates machine and process performance, with preference to cost reduction possibilities and quality improvements.

•    BS Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical)
•    3-5 years direct work experience in a hands-on work environment.
•    Proficient in the use of SolidWorks required 
•    Project management and leadership skills.
