Machine Operation

Our Client in Denton, Tx has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator. This is at least a 4 month contract with the chance for it to be extended or move to a temp-to-hire. 

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the machine operator in the machine set-up to specifications, in the areas of master roll preparation and other needs when identified by the operator
  • Monitor machine when trained and assist operator in basic machine operations
  • Understand packaging requirements and ensure that all procedures are followed
  • Ensure that only acceptable material is packaged, that all material is clean, and that the packing tally is correctly completed and reconciled at the end of each shift
  • Ensure that the quality of the finished packaging meets the customer's specifications
  • Ensure that all labeling is accurate and legible
  • Ensure cleanliness of all material
  • Ensure that quality documents are completed and legible at appropriate stages of production
  • Resolve all nonconforming material and product immediately, and follow correct procedure for identification, quarantine where necessary, and assist in disposition
  • Maintain all packing tallies and all customer-required reporting in a legible, accurate and organized manner; all paperwork should be updated after each set
  • Communicate to the machine operator any ideas, suggestions, or procedures which may be added to the operating specifications, and /or packaging specifications
  • Ensure that machine and machine area is kept clean and organized at all times
  • Return all excess packaging supplies to the storage area at the end of a job
  • Wrap and mark all skids to be returned to inventory
  • Ensure that all material handling equipment is in good working order, and that strapping machines and equipment are handled to maximize their usability
  • Report any maintenance or repair requirements through the Maintenance Request process
  • Ensure that company-provided tools are maintained and are adequate to perform the job
  • Communicate to the next shift either verbally or in writing the status and any information relevant to packaging and labeling

Qualifications:
  • Machine Operating experience is a plus
  • Previous manufacturing experience or comfortable in that environment 

Shift:
  • 3rd Sunday-Friday 11PM-7:30AM
