Description

Sr. Piping Engineer - 6 month Contract - Start Immediately
We need to hire and start a Sr. Piping Engineer for a project in the Knoxville, TN area that will last until May 2022. Expected hourly rates will be in the 80-90/hr range and you will be paid regular time for OT with additional per diem. 

Job Description: 

  • Perform nuclear safety related and non-safety related engineering design changes, calculations, studies, reports, specifications, and document reviews. 
  • Experience during Steam Generator Replacement Outages would be a plus. 
  • Support of field implementation of design; primary focus is on support of field work and to ensure proper implementation of design. 
  •  Steam Generator / RCS temporary and permanent plant supports.

Experience/Requirements:   

  • BSCE or BSME
  • 5+ years in nuclear general piping design (not a designer) with emphasis on large component supports and pipe supports. 
  • 5+ years in working on industrial projects or power equipment - nuclear industry experience, preferred. 
  • Familiar with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Sections II, III, and XI. 
  • Weld engineering experience helpful, but not required. 
  • Must have worked and been badged previously at a Nuclear Facility.
